Organic Gold Jewellery Textured by Nature

 We've been making organically textured gold for 20 years.

 I spent my MA in Jewellery playing with dead insects, leaves, seed heads and twigs, I've always enjoyed finding organic forms that nature creates, the beautiful patterns and fine details, then recreating them in solid gold and silver.

I was drawn to finding natural objects that would decay into the ground and be gone forever, the most fragile wings and pods, moulding from them to create something permanent, something precious, something to wear for a lifetime and pass down.

Natural forms are timeless, you can mix leaves with seed heads, twigs with insects, it all works together as a collection, perfect for layering and stacking.

One of our first gold pieces was a twig ring, we now make many, some with budded details, some twisted, plaited and entwined, often with a scattering of diamonds.

Sycamore seeds have always been a favourite, the details on them are beautiful, all retained in the gold. 

The linked sycamore chain is made to sit on the collar bone, the sycamore seeds are textured on both sides, each buttery gold seed is hallmarked and every link carefully soldered.

The chain is a heavy piece, a statement necklace that can transition from jeans through the day to a night time evening event.

Over the years I've become interested into the historical meanings behind some of the trees, plants and insects I use, I now plan my jewellery for the day with the meanings in mind.

Sycamore trees are hardy, thriving in harsh environments with deep roots, they have come to symbolize Perseverance and Resilience, the perfect seed to wear when we have to dig deep.

A reminder of how strong we are or can be.

Tree bark in gold makes timeless organically shaped wedding bands that can be made to fit easily against most engagement rings.

Unisex in design, we can make slim bands or chunky wide rings. 

Adding stones creates more detail, allowing them to become stacking eternity rings later on.

If you send us bark or twigs from a first date, family garden, favourite place, we can make rings bespoke to you, we can even include your broken or unworn heirloom gold.

This gold bark ring is dotted with uncut diamonds, adding to the texture and creating more organic detail around the band, it has an uneven edge, the inside is curved allowing for a more comfortable fit.
